14th Annual Innovations in Design Analysis and Dissemination:
Frontiers in Biostatistics & Data Science Meeting

Sponsors: Department of Biostatistics & Data Science and the Kansas Western-Missouri Chapter of the American Statistical Association

When: April 22nd – 23rd

Fully virtual: Zoom based single track meeting

About this meeting:
IDAD is a regional statistics/biostatistics conference that is co-sponsored by the Department of Biostatistics & Data Science at the University of Kansas Medical Center, the Kansas-Western Missouri Chapter of the ASA, and the Quantitative ‘Omics Core that supports the Kansas Institute for Precision Medicine.  The first annual IDAD meeting took place 2008. Over the last 13 years this meeting has become a major draw for quantitative/statistical researchers in the Midwest. Historically, IDAD has been held in Kansas City over the course of two days during the month of April. Given concern over COVID-19 and travel restrictions as a result of the pandemic, we have decided to host the spring 2021 IDAD meeting entirely virtually. This year’s meeting will include a Keynote Address, delivered by Dr. Jeffrey Morris, Professor and Director of the Biostatistics Division at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and for the first time in its history, a Journey Lecture Series. Journey Lectures are lighthearted non-technical talks by distinguished figures in the field of biostatistics and data science that address their career journey and words of wisdom. In addition to these events, this year’s meeting will include a panel discussion on Careers in Biostatistics and the Data Sciences geared toward graduate students and trainees, along with several Invited and Contributing platform presentations and Poster Presentations. We hope you can join us for the 14th annual IDAD meeting and look forward to seeing you this April.
