IDAD 2023 is a regional statistics/biostatistics conference that is co-sponsored by University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Biostatistics & Data Science, Kansas Western-Missouri Chapter of the American Statistical Association, University of Kansas Cancer Center, Quantitative Omics Core that supports the Kansas Institute for Precision Medicine, K-INBRE, and EMB Statistical Solutions, LLC. The first annual IDAD meeting took place 2007. Over the last 16 years this meeting has become a major draw for quantitative/statistical researchers in the Midwest. Historically, IDAD has been held in Kansas City over the course of two days during the month of April. Given concern over COVID-19, 2021 and 2022 IDAD meetings were entirely virtually. 2023 IDAD will be the first in-person meeting after the pandemic. This year's meeting will include: a Keynote Address delivered by Dr. Annette Molinaro, Professor, Department of Neurological Surgery, University of California San Francisco; a short course delivered by Dr. Razieh Nabi, Assistant Professor, Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Emory University, on “Fairness in Data Science: Criteria, Algorithms, and Open Problems — Professional Development Continuing Education Course”; and several invited and contributed platform presentations and poster presentations.
